Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) originated in 1897 as a modest primary school, advancing to a high school, intermediate college, and degree college before attaining full university status in 2002. Spread across a 37-acre main campus and a 200-acre new campus on Jhang Road, GCUF also operates sub-campuses in Chiniot, Samundri, and Hafizabad to broaden regional access to higher education.
Today, GCUF houses major academic faculties, including Arts & Social Sciences, Economics & Management Sciences, Engineering & Technology, Islamic & Oriental Learning, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Medical Sciences.
