Eligibility Criteria
- MPhil / MS / MSc (Hons) / MBA: Master degree (16 years of education or equivalent) with at least 2nd division under annual system OR minimum 2.00 out of 4.00 CGPA under semester system recognized by HEC.
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD): MPhil / MS or equivalent (18 years of education) with minimum CGPA 3.00/4.00 or 60% in annual system recognized by HEC.
- Low CGPA PhD Provision: Candidates with CGPA 2.70 to 2.99 out of 4.00 (or 55-59% marks) in their MPhil/MS degree may be considered for PhD admission after fulfilling conditional prerequisites (completing 9-12 CH of zero semester coursework with CGPA ≥ 3.00).
- PhD Admissions Open Year-Round: PhD admissions in Research Stream remain open throughout the year (subject to obtaining written consent from a supervisor with available capacity).
Eligibility Criteria for Admission in MS Nursing
- Category-I: 10-year schooling (Matric/FA/FSc 1st Division), 03-year Diploma in Nursing, 01-year Diploma in Midwifery or Post Basic Specialty, 01-year experience as RN, 02-year Post RN BSN/BSM (CGPA ≥ 2.5), 02-year experience as RN after Post RN BSN (clinical/teaching/research), minimum 1 research publication in HEC-recognized journal, pass IUB GAT Nursing test with 50% marks, valid PNC license.
Category-II: 12-years schooling (Matric + FSc Pre-Medical 1st Division), 04-year BSN Generic (CGPA ≥ 2.5) recognized by PNC, 01-year Internship (Bedside care), 02-year experience as RN after BSN Generic, minimum 1 research publication in HEC-recognized journal, pass IUB GAT Nursing test with 50% marks, valid PNC license.

- Online Portal: Register and submit applications through [https://eportal.iub.edu.pk](https://eportal.iub.edu.pk). Hard copies of the online application form are NOT required at the time of submission (original documents + 2 photocopy sets are required at admission).
Important Information
- Processing Fee: Applicants must pay the prescribed processing fee for MPhil and PhD programs. The fee voucher is downloadable from the online portal and payable at any branch of authorized banks. Original fee receipt/challan must be presented at the written test.
- Testing Requirements:
- MPhil / MS / MSc (Hons) / MBA: Must pass GAT (General) conducted by NTS or the IUB Departmental Test with at least 50% marks before admission.
- PhD: Must pass GAT Subject conducted by IUB / NTS with a minimum score of 60%. Candidates with a valid pass score in GAT (General) by NTS do not need to register for the IUB test.
